What To Get: Cilantro, Limes, Butter, Thai Basil (optional)

Preparation Instructions

Inside Box: Maine Lobster Meat, New England Split Top Style Rolls, Wasabi Remoulade, Crispy Shallots

What To Get: Cilantro, Limes, Butter, Thai Basil (optional)

Preparation:

  1. Defrost the frozen lobster meat bag under running water or in the refrigerator for over 24 hours.
  2. (Optional) Thinly slice Thai basil and cilantro to add extra fresh herbs to the sauce.
  3. Drain the cooked lobster meat and mix the wasabi sauce in with the lobster.
  4. (Optional) Squeeze in fresh lime juice to give additional zest to the sauce.
  5. Melt some butter and brush onto the outside of your roll (both sides). On a preheated grill or hot skillet/griddle, toast the buns until they are golden brown on both sides, which should take about 2-3 minutes per side. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
  6. Once each side of the roll is  toasted to your desire, remove from heat and allow to slightly cool.
  7. Take a sharp knife and position it at the top center of the bun.
  8. Carefully cut a slit down the top of the bun, about three-quarters of the way through, leaving the bottom intact. The cut should be deep enough to create a pocket for the lobster filling, but not so deep that it splits the bun completely.
  9. Add the lobster salad into the bun and top off with crispy shallots.

WILD CAUGHT BY HAND, SUSTAINABLY HARVESTED

Sustainability efforts of the Maine Lobster fishery began in 1872, when the first law was passed to protect the resource for future generations. Maine lobsters are hand-harvested from small day boats & caught one trap at a time with strict requirements on size & breeding status. We’re proud to be part of this heritage.
