Returns & Refunds

We guarantee our live Maine lobsters and other fresh seafood on the day of delivery.

Get Maine Lobster will issue a credit or refund on the portion of product that was not delivered adequately due to the following reasons:
  • A mistake was made by our shipping carrier 
  • Lobsters are not alive upon delivery and you notify us within 4 hours of delivery of the shipment and pictures are provided 
  • Products missing from your order with notification within 4 hours of the delivery of the shipment and pictures are provided 

Get Maine Lobster will not issue a credit or refund for the following reasons;

- Get Maine Lobsters does not guarantee Live Lobsters or Fresh Seafood, if you do not prepare them on the day of arrival.

- Get Maine Lobster will not be held responsible for Lobsters that die overnight, if you chose to postpone cooking them on the following day. If you store your Lobsters until the following day, you are doing so at your own risk, as we cannot guarantee our Lobsters beyond the day of delivery.

- GML is not responsible for packages left outside for more than an hour.  Warm temperatures can cause the items to spoil. Please take precautions when scheduling a delivery or gifting and make sure to let recipient(s) know there is a perishable delivery coming their way on the date selected at checkout. 

- Get Maine Lobster or our shipping carriers are not responsible for contacting recipients prior, during or after delivery of any shipment. The purchaser(s) are responsible for advising gift recipients of the shipment(s) coming their way. 

- You need to monitor the Lobsters. Keep in mind, if you do receive a dormant or dead lobster, we advise you to cook it as soon as you can. If you discard it prior to cooking and providing pictures, you waive your rights to a credit or refund of any kind.

GML will not be responsible for delays, if you know that your physical address has access restrictions for one or more of our carriers. If so, contact customer service before you order.

- Get Maine Lobster requires and asks for pictures or video of the product(s) that are in question to be e-mailed to us at info@getmainelobster.com, within 12 hours of receipt of package. We will not be able to honor any refunds without photographs of the product in question. We may request that the product be shipped back to us for inspection.

- **If you dispose of the Lobsters and packaging prior to notifying us of your problem, we will waive your rights for a refund of any kind.

- Get Maine Lobster is not responsible for packages that get delayed and hindered during high-volume shipping periods (Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).

- Get Maine Lobster is not responsible for packages that get delayed and hindered because of Weather-related issues. 

- Get Maine Lobster is not responsible for shipments that are stolen from residence after delivering. 

- Get Maine Lobster MUST be notified within 24hrs of delivery if your package was not located. Shipping and delivery notifications will be sent to customers' email when your order ships.  Please be sure to let us know immediately if there are any issues or the package was not found. We need to be notified within 24hrs to begin a proper investigation for a replacement or credit decision to be made.

- ADDRESS CORRECTIONS: Customers are held responsible to input their correct SHIPPING ADDRESS. This includes Name, Street, City, State and Zip Code. There will be a $17 change fee charged to ship to any corrected address. Get Maine Lobster will not refund or reimburse orders that were not delivered on time due to an incorrect address.
