When Will My Order Arrive?

Get Maine Lobster ships orders Monday through Friday for delivery Tuesday through Saturday (Saturday delivery is $25 additional).

- All LIVE LOBSTER and FRESH SEAFOOD orders ship via Priority Overnight or Next Day Air service. You will select your delivery date from the calendar at checkout.

- All FROZEN LOBSTER TAIL, FROZEN LOBSTER MEAT, LOBSTER ROLL and APPETIZER orders ship via 2nd Day Air or Ground service (depending on your location). These frozen orders ship within 1-3 business days.

For LIVE LOBSTER and FRESH SEAFOOD orders, we recommend placing orders at least a few days (or weeks) in advance of your requested delivery date. The cut off time for a Live Lobster or Fresh Seafood order to be shipped the same day is 9:00am Eastern Standard Time. Frozen orders must be placed by 11:59am EST for shipping within 1-3 days.

Orders ship via UPS/FEDEX/GLS and ONTRAC; Priority Overnight service, 2nd Day Air or Ground (in some areas).  Shipments may be delivered later in the day, during the holiday season. Rural areas may see deliveries later in the day and as late as 8-9pm local time.

**Saturday deliveries are available in most areas and do incur an additional $25 at checkout once selected and verified.

Delivery times will vary upon your location from the carriers local distribution center. We can not guarantee a delivery time for any order, however, most urban areas will receive the shipment by 2pm and as early as 9am. During the holiday season, deliveries may be as late as 8-9pm in rural areas. 

When expecting the arrival of perishables, we recommend that you be prepared for this by setting up notifications of delivery updates.

The Tracking Number for your shipment will be emailed to you on the evening your order is picked up by the carrier and scanned into their system.

NOTE: There is a good chance the delivery driver will NOT knock upon arrival; although we request that they knock. Check often and refer to your tracking # status.

Shipping Rates

Total shipping fees will be calculated at checkout, based on your address. The total ship fee will vary between $19.99 and $34.99 depending on which product(s) you select.

***Saturday arrival is an extra fee of $25, above and beyond other ship rates. Free Shipping offers will incur a $25 fee for Sat deliveries.*** Alaska and Hawaii orders, please call us to place your orders, shipping rates will be quoted.

Shipping Method

Orders ship via UPS/FEDEX/GLS and ONTRAC; Priority Overnight service, 2nd Day Air or Ground (in some areas). We are unable to ship to APO/FPO, P.O. Boxes, rural routes, and destinations outside the U.S.A. If you're unsure about delivery to your address, please contact us prior to placing your order. We ship all packages with Authorized Release. Meaning the Package may be left by the carrier at your door if the carrier feels it is safe and secure to do so. Please note, the drivers are asked to knock, however, they may not do so. Refer to the tracking number status with with the carrier that was used. We recommend that you make arrangements to have someone available for delivery. Packages that are not left at the door will be returned to the station for re-delivery the following day or available for pick up at the local carrier's station. Please be aware that we do not guarantee products after the first delivery attempt.

Weather Policy

Get Maine Lobster is not responsible for packages that are delayed due to inclement weather, however, we do our best to track potential weather systems that could effect your order. Get Maine Lobster reserves the right to hold or release orders based upon the probability of your order arriving on-time and fresh.

Address Corrections

Customers are held responsible to input their correct SHIPPING ADDRESS. This includes Name, Street, City, State and Zip Code. Once the shipment has been picked up by the carrier, there will be a $17 address change fee charged to update the corrected address once the order is no longer in our possession. We will not refund or reimburse those orders that were not delivered on time due to an incorrect address.

Note: we are not responsible for shipments that are stolen from residence after delivering.

Important Holiday Information:

Get Maine Lobster will be fulfilling thousands of orders daily during this holiday season. We are grateful for the opportunity to delight so many customers with fine Maine lobster and seafood. With the increased volume and limitations of the carriers, we will likely be capped by our carrier to a certain amount of orders per day that we can ship. We highly recommend ordering well in advance, and if you’re ordering frozen products to have them delivered sooner than later. You can easily store them in your freezer until ready to use.

Be aware, UPS and Fedex paused their commit time guarantee from Nov 2021 through Mid-Jan 2022. This is likely to happen again this year, which means your shipment can be delivered at any time of the day during the peak holiday season, due to the high volume they are handling.

If timing is critical for your order, we recommend you have it delivered the day before your planned experience. With that, GML can not guarantee delivery of your shipment within the commit time shown on your tracking details.

Due to the extremely high volume of orders being packed and shipped, order changes must be done at least 48 hours in advance, during this holiday season. Shipping labels are being printed at least 2 days in advance of your order shipping date. If your order shipping label has already been printed, it’s highly unlikely we’ll be able to make any changes. We will not be able to add additional items to any order or modify the quantity or size. Any address corrections, after the label has been printed will need to be done by a GML representative with Fedex (or UPS) online. GML can not guarantee that an address correction does not cause a delay in delivery.
