There’s something sacred about water.
The ocean has always been my teacher — reminding me that healing, strength, and renewal often begin where stillness meets motion.
Today, on 11/11, we honor a different kind of strength: the resilience of those who’ve served our country.
At Get Maine Lobster, we’re proud to give $5 from every order placed today to Project Healing Waters, an incredible organization that helps veterans heal — body and soul — through the simple, restorative act of fly fishing. SHOW NOW >
It’s not about charity. It’s about connection.
About one body of water calling out to another — the Maine coast to mountain streams — carrying a message that says: we remember, we thank you, we stand with you.
Why Project Healing Waters
When I learned how Project Healing Waters helps veterans rediscover peace through nature, it struck a chord.
Their work brings veterans out onto rivers and lakes, fly rod in hand, surrounded by community and quiet — giving them the chance to reconnect with what so many of us take for granted: presence, purpose, and belonging.
That spirit mirrors everything we stand for here on the Wharf.
Food, after all, is connection — a way of saying you matter without needing the perfect words.
So today, every order you place — whether it’s lobster rolls for your family or tails for a weekend dinner — carries a ripple of gratitude from our dock to their waters.
Gratitude in Action
Giving back is one small way we can express the enormous appreciation we feel.
For me, this initiative is personal — a reminder that every act of generosity creates movement, just like a tide turning or a cast arcing across a stream.
It’s motion born from emotion — a principle I believe in deeply.
As a company, we’ve weathered challenges and change this year, but our mission has always remained: to bring people together through unforgettable experiences around the table.
Today, we extend that table a little further — to include those who’ve served and sacrificed for us all.
