Total Rip Off

Was given a $150 gift certificate as Christmas present. Wanted to use it to buy 4 pounds of scallops for $149. If the product wasn’t on sale I could have ordered it and been done and probably would t take the time to write this. Since I wasn’t allowed to use the gift certificate for a sale item I was redirected to a page with about 9 extremely overpriced options. 2# of scallops for $109. Two 1-1.25# lobsters for $139. I decided to buy a bunch of soup. The. I left a $30 cushion to cover shipping but shipping is $40 extra and not covered by the gift certificate and had to be paid by my Amex. I checked prices for seafood in southern Maine. Lobster selling for 10-15$ pound whether you buy off boat, dealer or grocery store. I could buy them here live in a tank in Louisiana for about $20 a pound. I could buy 2# of fresh scallops (not stingray) from Florida for about what I paid for shipping. Hope the soup is good. It cost me $40 to have 4 qts send down in frozen vacuum sealed bags with a label from a local deli that was likely marked up 300%. If it’s good I’ll buy directly from the deli.
