Maine Lobster Placed on the Red List by Seafood Watch
"This is an assault on the people of Maine without any basis whatsoever, and it's the most irresponsible action I have seen in all my years of public service."
-- Senator Angus King
As a Maine lobster business owner (and native to Maine), I am very disappointed about the mis-information that led to Maine lobster being red-listed by Seafood Watch. For decades we have been proactively doing our part to protect the migration of the Right Whale.
We are confident Maine lobster will soon be removed from the list, as it is the most sustainable lobster fishery in the world. I take great pride in that fact.
Here is a list of resources to help you make an informed decision:

- Maine Lobstermen (women) and the Right Whales
- Letter from Maine Governor, Janet Mills, to the Seafood Watch organization
- Article of support by our government

I hope you find this information helpful. I am always happy to have an open and honest conversation with you about our sustainability practices.
